Having a deeper understanding of anatomy and how the body moves through space can only strengthen your practice and your confidence in teaching others.
Our bodies are the same but also very different and that complexity can be overwhelming. The more knowledge you have of how the human body works, the calmer your mind will be when it comes to moving through a class, as either the student or teacher.
So come and explore a more complex view of anatomy and how it applies to the yoga practice!
We will cover:
Language of anatomy
Different muscle types and how to work each in your practice
”Proper posture” and how to better identify issues in yourself and students
Alignment of major joints and how that affects poses
Common anatomical issues and injuries
The use of props for better alignment
Designed for yoga & fitness instructors or for students looking to increase their knowledge of the body!
