Westwood was built for Adelia Armstrong, a talented young woman who emerged as a highly regarded artist and leader in the arts community. The home has an impressive Queen Anne style that offers hints of Richardson Romanesque design and features a grand art gallery where the yoga class will take place.
Debuting at the apex of the Gilded Age, Adelia’s Westwood was central to a life built on a love for all things beautiful. Her spirit calls us to pay closer attention to the world around us:
“If we only look for it, we are surrounded by the beautiful always. Cherish it, love it. Take it into your hearts and it will be your very life”.
This event is a must for history buffs and for anyone looking for their perfect Hallmark moment!
The home will be beautifully decorated in the holiday style of the 1800s to capture the magic of the Christmas season and with its unique architecture and landscaping, you'll find it hard to believe you're still in Knoxville!
During your evening at Westwood, you'll enjoy a yoga class in the art gallery as well as a guided historical tour of the house. A hot cocoa bar will be provided for you to enjoy after the events while you mingle and tour the home at your leisure.
Each participant will also receive a small gift to remember the evening.
100% of ticket sales will be donated to Knox Heritage to support their work of protecting Knoxville’s unique character for future generations by preserving, restoring, and transforming historically significant structures and places.
Space is limited, so RSVP quickly!
December 9th, 5pm-8pm, $49
