Before
Drink water before your visit and avoid caffeinated beverages and alcohol for at least a day before your session (both dehydrate the body). Hydration helps remove physical and energetic toxins from the body and is essential to the cleansing/wellness process.
Wear comfortable non-restrictive clothing that you can easily relax in for Reiki Healing or Sound Massage or can be easily removed for massage therapy. During a Reiki Healing or Sound Massage session, you will remain fully clothed. For massage therapy, you can undress to your level of comfort and will be covered with a blanket at all times for your privacy.
To be as comfortable as possible, do not come with a rumbling belly or a full stomach.
After
Massage Therapy:
Drink plenty of water for the next 24 hours. This will help rehydrate the body to ease & prevent muscle soreness as well as help flush toxins that are released during massage therapy.
Reiki Healing:
Drink plenty of water for the next 48 hours.
Your Reiki session helped your body move energy where it was needed the most. Any stagnant/toxic energies that were affected in your physical body can be assisted in removal through physical waste-removal processes.
Take a cool shower. Many traditions believe standing under cool running water cleanses the spirit and the energetic aura that surrounds the physical body. During your shower, it is helpful to stand with your head directly under the streams of water, close your eyes, and intend that the loving energy of the water flowing over you is washing away any energy that is no longer needed for your highest good.
